| 6FT-SJ Playoff Brackets
WED 11/24 (10:15PM) -- Here's the latest and greatest. Btw, being the highest currently left in the Winners Bracket, GTL has been invited to a Superbowl vs a top 6FT-OSF team which will be part of the Dec 11-12 Gold Rush Tourney in SF. Should they decline, I would next ask Elite, then so on and so forth.
Although things here haven't been decided, I've got to choose one for the invitation. Doing so also means participating in the tournament, which has one game on 12/12. This could affect our brackets, but we'll just have to play it by ear. Suffice it to say, we'll find a solution once we know what our barriers are. For now, just assume that we run out of runway on 12/19, meaning the gyms will probably be closed 12/26 and 1/2. But we'll find out.
Incidentally, all 6FT-SJ teams are welcome to enter their teams in the Gold Rush Tournament Dec 11-12.

WED 11/17 (1:30PM) -- Thanks to Henry, the capt of SJ Barons, for catching the mistake we had previously in the brackets (and Donovan, capt of Elite, who caught it shortly thereafter). I accidentally had Team SJ advancing in the WB past Elite when it was the other way around -- and correctly shown on http://twitter.com/dreamleague. That means #6 Elite advances in the WB and #3 Team SJ drops to the LB. Luckily there wasn't a huge change in the more-complicated LB. I had to switch #3 Team SJ to face the winner of the lower seeds (#8 vs #10), then switch #4 Smash Bros over to the winner of #7/#9. All should be well now. The bracket below is correct.
WED 11/17 (12:00PM) -- We're now in the second round of playoffs for this Sun 11/21, so it's time to post the playoff brackets. Remember that Sun 11/28 is Thanksgiving weekend and a league-wide bye. We pick right back up on 12/5. On Sat 12/11 and Sun 12/12 we have our Gold Rush tourney and I am thinking about having you play against equivalent teams from SF and SJ, maybe even somehow combine that with the tournament in case you wanted to play in the tournament too, but that idea is still in development as of this writing.
Please note that in the Losers Bracket, we tried to have the lowest seed playing the highest seed, but had a repeat of #7/#10 and #8/#9. To make the first matchup relevant, we will switch it up with #7/#9 and #8/#10. The winners will continue to play the two highest seeds still in the Losers Bracket, with the assumption that the higher seeds would win so that we would have #4 Smash vs the winner of #8/#10 and #6 Elite vs the winner of #7/#9. You can see that will leave us with two teams in the Losers Bracket, plus the two that will drop from the Winners Bracket. This would be for the next round, 12/5. So on 12/5, we will have four teams in the Losers Bracket that we must further reduce to one, so that we are left with just three teams on 12/12.
Again, the Losers Bracket matchups could change in future weeks depending on what other teams drop and the highest vs lowest seed matchups. The structure could change such that I have to matchup the two brackets on 11/21 together for 12/5, who knows, we'll just have to see.

BYES: Byes are only allowable under special circumstances. If you have a bye later in the season that is not a formally requested bye, due to gym fluctuations and other unforeseen circumstances, that bye is not locked down; that week's block of games can still be shuffled around as necessary until you formally request that week to be a bye for your team.
GROUND RULES: 1. Please make sure the number of red rows (games moved from) equals the number of green rows (games moved to). 2. Make sure you have 7 regular season games listed with your team name. 3. The last 1 or 2 of 7 regular season games are usually encoded as inter-conference or other special type of matchup. 4. The playoffs are pretty much nailed down, barring unforeseen circumstances (i.e., no byes!) 5. Any special late bye requests at this point will require permission from other teams to shuffle them around. 6. Special late bye requests can *usually* be accommodated if your team plays a double-header some other week. But sometimes it depends on if your opponent is also stuck with a double-header.
