MARCH 10, 2004 -- The #2 Big Dawgs ousted #5 SFFD last night, 89-77. The Big Dawgs built a 12-point lead at halftime and SFFD could not recover. Manish Nandani led the Dawgs with 29 pts, Jimmy Noriega added 22 pts, and Mark Smith had 20 pts 9 reb 5 ast 5 stl 4 blk. Kareem Benjamin was not available for the Dawgs, but it did not matter. Scott Darmstadt led SFFD with 22 pts 12 reb. Eric Newman had 17 pts, but Justin Brown was held to 14 pts. Eric Ellis had 13 pts 11 ast.

So tomorrow night the Big Dawgs try to avenge last week's loss to #1 BBCC. If the Dawgs succeed, then we would have to come back the following week for the repeat winner-take-all championship, due to the double-elimination format. If BBCC can hold off the Dawgs one more time, then they are the champs.
