THU 5/27 (3:30PM) -- The Dark Knights beat the Wolverines to capture the REC-SF championship, capping off a 10-1 season...

Playoff Brackets for REC-SF
WED 5/19 (1:00AM) -- The Dark Knights eliminated the single-elim-relegated Super Smush Bros, which left the Wolverines REC as the only opponent left. Usually we have three teams left now, but in this case we only have two. Because of the Memorial Day brick wall we are facing the following Sun 5/30, if the Dark Knights lose this Sun 5/23, then we will come back at least an hour later and do the Repeat Championship, also on 5/23...

WED 5/12 (8:00AM) -- Super Smush Bros upset the Wolverines to reach the Winners Bracket survivor game, which precedes the Championship. Saddled with single-elim status, they only need to win one more game (this Sun 5/16) to reach the Championship, but they face a red hot Dark Knights team.
Meanwhile, in the Losers Bracket, it's #1 Wolves vs #2 Tired. Should Super Smush lose, then the winner of WlvR/TOM would not need to face another opponent in the Losers Bracket, and would advance to face the Dark Knights on 5/23 for the Championship. We'll worry about a Repeat Championship only if we have to, but that would occur on either 5/30 or 6/6. If 6/6, we would be overlapping into the start of the new season...

WED 5/5 (8:00AM) -- Tired Older Men finds itself the lone Losers Bracket team for 5/9, therefore because they do not have an opponent, they get the weekend off to spend with Mom. Meanwhile, two single-elim teams, the Ballaholics and Super Smush Bros, will try to continue the one-and-done winning streak on 5/9.
On 5/16, if both the Ballaholics and Super Smush Bros lose on 5/9, we may yet have another bye for Tired Older Men. We'll just have to see how it plays out...

Here are the games for 5/9...
p2-WB: #5 Super Smush Bros at #1 Wolverines REC p2-WB: #7 Ballaholics at #3 Dark Knights p2-LB: bye: #2 Tired Older Men

| Playoff seeds for REC-SF determined
WED 4/28 (3:15PM) -- Here are the seeds for REC-SF...
1. Wolverines REC (6-1) -- tied h2h/common (1-1) vs Dark, won s-o-v (12.3) vs Dark 2. Tired Older Men (5-2) -- won Western Conference 3. Dark Knights (6-1) -- tied h2h/common (1-1) vs WlvR, lost s-o-v (12.0) vs WlvR 4. Team Go (3-4) -- won head-to-head vs SSB 5. Super Smush Bros (3-4) -- lost head-to-head vs TmGo 6. Adobros (1-6) 7. Ballaholics (0-6)
I think we just had the closest tiebreaker between two teams in a very, very long time: Wolverines REC and Dark Knights. And get this, both teams beat each other, not only by one point, but BY THE EXACT SAME SCORE!. That would be 46-45 in each contest. Crazy.
With the teams tied head-to-head, it follows that in a small division like REC-SF, the common opponents were all the same. The only repeat was against each other. So, we had to resort to the next NFL tiebreaker: "strength-of-victory". In Dream League, we interpret this to be point differential in games won. Also in Dream League, we cap blowouts at 20 because a 20-point blowout does not offer much more than a 30-point blowout. It also prevents teams from running up a score that's already out of reach, which can lead to unsportsmanlike conduct.
The Wolverines won the strength-of-victory by the slimmest of margins: 12.3 points per game won vs 12.0. Wow.
Anyways, in a two-conference format in the NBA, they take the winner of each conference and give them the #1 and #2 seeds. So, the Dark Knights are relegated to the 3rd seed, but it really doesn't matter all that much.
Here are the matchups for 5/2...
playoffs1: bye: #1 Wolverines REC playoffs1: #7 Ballaholics at #2 Tired Older Men playoffs1: #6 Adobros at #3 Dark Knights playoffs1: #5 Super Smush Bros at #4 Team Go
Note: I will not be updating the roadmap below much anymore, since all the games will now be listed in the narrative or the forthcoming playoff brackets starting next week.
WED 4/21 (3:00PM) -- Standings updated thru 4/18 games. We close out with the roadmap matchups below, Ballaholics sits...
repeat: Dark Knights at Wolverines REC repeat: Tired Old Men at Team Go repeat: Adobros at Super Smush Bros bye: FIC DevilBats Ballaholics
TUE 4/13 (8:15PM) -- Standings thru 4/11 updated. Also the roadmap per last week's changes.
Ballaholics replace FIC Devilbats
WED 4/7 (9:30AM) -- The FIC Devilbats showed up on 3/28 seventeen minutes late to their game, with only 3 guys present to boot. We forfeited them. They even sat on the court after as if to protest. Not only were my refs and scorekeepers shaking their heads, but also the other team! Since then, they have not paid the $66 forfeit fee. As such, they have been expelled. Their captain plays on another team in aaa-sfp and will also be suspended from the league until the forfeit fee is paid.
Luckily, we can simply replace them with the Ballaholics, who signed up for the wrong division. They've been losing by 30-40 points each week in the AL. I think they are a good fit for rec-sf. We'll have 2 games to find out, as the expelled team only had so many remaining, being the odd team out with 6 regular season games.

BYES: Byes are only allowable under special circumstances. If you have a bye later in the season that is not a formally requested bye, due to gym fluctuations and other unforeseen circumstances, that bye is not locked down; that week's block of games can still be shuffled around as necessary until you formally request that week to be a bye for your team.
GROUND RULES: 1. Please make sure the number of red rows (games moved from) equals the number of green rows (games moved to). 2. Make sure you have 7 regular season games listed with your team name. 3. The last 1 or 2 of 7 regular season games are usually encoded as inter-conference or other special type of matchup. 4. The playoffs are pretty much nailed down, barring unforeseen circumstances (i.e., no byes!) 5. Any special late bye requests at this point will require permission from other teams to shuffle them around. 6. Special late bye requests can *usually* be accommodated if your team plays a double-header some other week. But sometimes it depends on if your opponent is also stuck with a double-header.

Previous posts pertaining to REC-SF roadmap
TUE 3/30 (3:30PM) -- Standings updated thanks to Tony.
WED 3/24 (1:00PM) -- Swapped 4/11 and 3/28 block of games because of Smush Bros special tipoff request. See updated roadmap.
WED 3/24 (12:00PM) -- Standings fixed.
TUE 3/23 (10:15PM) -- Found out probable cause for the standings error: Wolverines 45, Super Smush 37 was not posted on twitter stream, but now that we have it, adding a loss to Super Smush or a win to Wolverines does not seem to fix the standings. Got Tony working on it.
TUE 3/23 (2:00PM) -- Standings are not correct because total wins do not equal total losses and is off by one loss (a lil trick of the trade for moi -- but, of course, I told my crew how to do it). Keystone cops. Keystone cops. That's all I can say. Hopefully this will get fixed soon, unless there's one team out there that wants to just email me and say what the one error is.
FRI 3/19 (12:15AM) -- There's a slight problem with the standings to the left, but I got my keystone cops working on it. New roadmap is below, scroll down. Note: Previous posts may now be irrelevant.
THU 3/11 (6:45AM) -- REC-SF has 7 teams, so one will take a bye each week. Since 7 teams cannot mathematically play 7 games, one team will have to only play 6 games. As of this writing, that "odd team out" will either be Team Go or FIC DevilBats, just due to the fact that one of them was the last to pay (I haven't gotten around to the last few payments as of yesterday). So, either Team Go or the FIC DevilBats will get that 7th regular season week as a bye, then receive a pro-rated refund at the end of the season when it is determined exactly how many games they played -- usually it's around $40-50, as we have done this in the past in odd-numbered divisions.
Just for fun, I've divided the division into two conferences...
EASTERN CONFERENCE Wolverines REC Adobros Dark Knights
WESTERN CONFERENCE Team Go FIC DevilBats Tired Older Men Super Smush Bros
...and the winner of each conference will get the #1 and #2 seeds. However, I'm not sure that really makes a difference because the best team at #1 will still get the first round bye since there's only 7 teams.
Here's the core dump until I can figure out Easter 4/4, then I'll pretty it up in table format...
2/28 Wolverines REC at FIC DevilBats Adobros at Team Go Dark Knights at Tired Older Men bye: Super Smush Bros
3/7 Team Go at Super Smush Bros Wolverines REC at Dark Knights FIC DevilBats at Adobros bye: Tired Older Men
3/14 Tired Older Men at FIC DevilBats Super Smush Bros at Dark Knights Team Go at Wolverines REC bye: Adobros
